Regenerative Medicine
Cutting edge regenerative therapy using your pets own cells to stimulate healing, alongside pain inflammation control.
Regenerative Medicine
Regenerative medicine uses your pet’s own natural healing tools to repair damaged tissue, reduce inflammation and ease pain. Because the treatment comes from your pet’s own body, there is very little risk of rejection or allergic reaction.
Stem Cell Therapy
Stem cells are the body’s repair cells. They help calm inflammation, support healing and encourage damaged tissue to rebuild.
To collect them, we take a small sample of fat, usually from the belly or shoulder area, while your pet is under a short anaesthetic or sedation. The sample is processed to concentrate the stem cells, which are then injected directly into the problem area, such as an arthritic joint or an injured ligament. Any remaining cells can often be stored for future treatments, so your pet won’t need another collection.
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Therapy
Platelets are best known for helping blood clot, but they also release growth factors that kick-start the body’s natural repair process.
PRP treatment begins with a simple blood sample, much like a routine blood test. We spin the blood in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelets, then inject this platelet-rich plasma into the affected area. The whole process is usually completed in a single visit.
Better Together
Stem cells and PRP are often used together. The growth factors in PRP help the stem cells work more effectively, which can lead to a stronger healing response.
What to Expect
Most pets go home the same day. Many owners notice improvements in comfort and mobility within a few weeks, with benefits often continuing to build over two to three months. Some pets benefit from repeat treatments, and your vet will create a plan tailored to your pet’s needs.
Every pet is different, and results vary depending on the condition and its severity. Book a consultation and we’ll let you know whether regenerative treatment is right for your pet.

The main benefits of Regenerative Medicine

Which Animals Benefit from Regenerative Medicine?
Regenerative medicine, including stem cell therapy and platelet-rich plasma (PRP), is helping more and more animals heal naturally. It is most widely used in dogs, horses and cats, and is increasingly used in exotic and zoo animals too.
Dogs
Dogs are among the most common patients for regenerative treatment. It is often used for:
- Osteoarthritis, to ease joint pain and stiffness
- Hip and elbow dysplasia
- Cruciate ligament injuries, including recovery after surgery
- Tendon and soft-tissue damage
Cats
Cats have shown promising results for chronic gingivostomatitis, a painful inflammatory condition of the mouth. Research is also under way into chronic kidney disease and inflammatory bowel disease.
Eyes and Wounds
In many species, PRP and eye drops made from the animal’s own blood are used to treat slow-healing corneal ulcers and wounds.
