At North Paws Rehabilitation Referrals, we understand that this can be a very stressful and upsetting time. We are here, from the very beginning, to provide a professional and caring approach, ensuring you and your pet get the maximum benefit from rehabilitation, and we aim to make the experience as positive and enjoyable as possible.
What to Expect
Referral
Prior to your first appointment at North Paws Rehabilitation Referrals, we will have received a referral from your vet. This referral will contain information with regards to your pet’s diagnosis, medical history, current medications, and any other relevant information. This helps us prepare for your first visit and initial consultation.
Initial Consultation
On your first arrival, you will be met by our friendly and professional staff, made to feel at ease, and shown to our consultation room.
During the consultation we will ask lots of detailed questions regarding your pet’s symptoms, aswell as the medical history and any current medications or treatments.
Physical Assessment
We will then complete a physical assessment of your pet, to assess mobility, muscle tone, joint flexibility, and areas of discomfort.
Treatment Plan
After the initial assessments, we will then discuss with you our recommendations for a treatment plan, including therapies we recommend, duration, and our expected prognosis long term.
