Rufus

Rufus 

Rufus was diagnosed with some spinal issues and hip dislocation. He had lost a lot of muscle strength so came to North Paws to build back up the muscles along his spine and in his hips.

Rufus enjoys hydrotherapy via our underwater treadmill, and his muscles are going from strength to strength providing him with much needed comfort.

Bill the Labrador

Bill the Labrador

Bill came to North Paws with multiple issues including arthritis, hip dysplasia, larnyx paralysis and neurological problems.

Due to the collaborative nature of the treatment at North Paws, Bill has been able to enjoy his senior years in comfort.

Bill undergoes laser therapy , acupuncture, physio work and hydrotherapy in our swimming pool, to keep him living a pain free life.

Florence’s Spinal Disc Issue

Florence’s Spinal Disc Issue

Florence unfortunately had a serious spinal disc issue a few months back and had to undergo emergency spinal surgery .
 
Her surgery was carried out at Swift Referrals and she then came to us for rehabilitation.
 
Florence lost the use of her back legs for several weeks , but with a gold standard combination of physiotherapy, Laser therapy , acupuncture and underwater treadmill , plus the absolute dedication of her lovely owners , Florence can now walk 🐾🐾
 
She has done amazingly and we are all so proud of her

Ollies Knee Surgery

Ollie’s Knee Surgery

 
Here is the lovely Ollie just three weeks after his knee surgery .
 
Poor Ollie has already had surgery on his other knee , and we have worked really hard on his rehabilitation after both his first , and second knee surgery .
 
Ollie was referred to us by Vita Referrals and we started treating him just 48 hours post surgery on both occasions .
 
He has received a combination of Class 4 Laser and physiotherapy , as well as pain management assessments and regular underwater treadmill program (for his previous surgery). Ollie will be due to start treadmill again in a few weeks for his most recent surgery .
 
Ollie’s dedicated owners have been bringing him to North Paws for 2-3 appointments a week, so we know he will go from strength to strength.
